Here at ConnectPrep, our goal is to provide the BEST teachers in the industry that translates to TOP RESULTS. The company originated from Stanford University and we have rigorous 5-step instructor vetting process that rivals being accepted to an elite university.

Many of our tutors are highly decorated teachers at local public and private schools. They understand a specific school’s curriculum, collaborate with the teaching staff, and align their teaching method to what is being taught in the classroom. With each student, we build a road-map that will guide you every step of the way.

Qualities we look for in tutors

  • Exceptional teaching skills demonstrated during an interview
  • Demonstration of expert-level knowledge of subjects during interview
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to develop and teach individualized learning plans
  • Prior teaching and mentoring skills or credentials
  • History of academic excellence (fact checked during interview process)
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Friendly and personable demeanor

Bring Your A-Game!

We have a rigorous instructor hiring process. Before you join our team, you’ll
need to wow us at every step along the way.

Determine/Verify Qualifications

This step involves obtaining the following:

  • Completed Instructor Application Form, including contact information of 3 people who can recommend the candidate
  • An up-to-date CV/Resume
  • Documentation verifying academic training/degree(s) earned/relevant awards, scores, and accomplishments

Video Submission

This step involves obtaining the following:

Candidates will be asked to submit a 2 to 3 minute video answering a few questions that will help us gain insight into your skills and drive to become a member of the CP team. 

Personal Interview

We will invite you to an in-person interview to learn more about your passion in education. You will also get to know what drives us to be the best at what we do and deliver a special educational experience to all of our students.

Reference Check

All qualifications are carefully reviewed and checked. At this time, we will contact at least 3 references for the candidate.

Mock Teaching Session

We may require potential instructors to demonstrate to a ConnectPrep team member excellence in general communication skills, presentation of ideas, as well as aptitude in their specific area(s) of expertise.

Background Check

ConnectPrep will request your permission to obtain an enhanced disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau.
